Creating a Burning Man is a summer solstice tradition that symbolizes the Sun God sacrificing himself to go into the nourishment we recieve from the sun through our crops -- the sun dies at its zenith of the year and begins to wane, as the crops are settling in to transform light into energy for our harvest later in the summer and fall.
